October 1: Carter Efe, Speed Darlington ready for celebrity boxing clash

Nigerian rapper and social media personality Speed Darlington has issued a warning to comedian and content creator Carter Efe ahead of their highly anticipated celebrity boxing clash.

The two entertainers are scheduled to face off on October 1, 2026, at the Balmoral Convention Centre, Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos, as part of the Chaos in the Ring series.

Speed Darlington has continued to build anticipation for the bout with provocative remarks aimed at Carter Efe, adding more tension to a contest that has already generated significant attention online.

The upcoming fight will be Speed Darlington’s second appearance in the celebrity boxing circuit. He previously faced singer Portable in 2025 but suffered defeat in that encounter.

Carter Efe, meanwhile, enters the bout with a win over Portable. The comedian defeated the singer by unanimous decision in May 2026, with all three judges scoring the three-round contest 30-27 in his favour.

The rivalry between Carter Efe and Speed Darlington has also intensified during the build-up to their own fight, with both entertainers trading heated remarks during promotional activities.

The tension boiled over at their official press conference, where the two were involved in a heated confrontation and had to be separated by security personnel.

While their rivalry has largely played out through social media exchanges and promotional appearances, October 1 will mark the first time Speed Darlington and Carter Efe settle their differences inside the boxing ring.

The Chaos in the Ring event will also feature other bouts, including the WBO African Light Heavyweight Continental Championship clash between Nigeria’s Godday Appah and Ghana’s Seth “Freezy Macbones” Gyimah.

With both entertainers carrying previous celebrity boxing experience and their rivalry already attracting plenty of attention, the Speed Darlington-Carter Efe bout is shaping up to be one of the major talking points of the October 1 event.
