My God (You Are Good) Lyrics by Mercy Chinwo

My God by Mercy Chinwo is a joyful African praise single built around one line: “My God, You are good, beside You there is no other.” It was released on September 25, 2026, and it is the song many listeners know by its refrain “My God, You Are Good.” The track is a call-and-response worship number that is meant to be sung along with, not just listened to.

The song arrives as a standalone single. Apple Music lists it as “My God – Single” from 2026, and the official video is listed there as “My God.” Worship Chronicle notes that the release was confirmed by distributor MAD Solutions and that it is a separate standalone single from the 2025 album In His Will, which held a different track called “You Are My God.”

Mercy Chinwo’s latest prior release before this single was the Okaka single in 2026, and the Promise Keeper EP also came out in 2026 as listed on her Apple Music page. Her earlier catalogue includes Excess Love, Obinasom and Onyeoma (Good God), along with the collaboration Promise Keeper with Nathaniel Bassey. The Nigerian Idol alumna is one of the best-known voices in African gospel music.

Credits beyond the artist were not confirmed in the sources checked. Gospel Centric describes the record as driven by spirited vocals, rich instrumentation and heavy percussion, with a classic call-and-response structure. We could not verify the producer or the record label from a source we could reach, so we are not naming them here.

Stream or watch My God by Mercy Chinwo on Apple Music and on her official YouTube channel, where the music video is available. Its YouTube video had about 1.35 million views as of October 17, 2026, according to MusicMetrics. Listen to the full song, then sing the chorus with the choir in your head.

My God Lyrics by Mercy Chinwo

My God, You are good, beside You there is no other God
My God, You are good, beside You there is no other God
Jesus, You are good, beside You there is no other God
My God, You are good, beside You there is no other God

Oh oh oh oh oh oh oh
Oh oh oh oh oh oh oh

I have searched, I have searched
Nobody wey be like You
I look around and I found
You no dey two
I have searched, I have searched
Nobody wey be like You
I look around and I found
You no dey two

Heaven and earth shall pass away
But You remain the same
All of creation will sing Your praise
Forever and ever, You reign
Heaven and earth shall pass away
But You remain the same
All of creation will sing Your praise
Forever and ever, You reign

You are good, oh oh
You are faithful, oh
I say, You are mighty, oh
You are powerful, so so so powerful
You are powerful, so so so powerful

I say, You are powerful, so so so powerful
You are mighty, so so so mighty
You are glorious, so so so glorious
I say, You are faithful, so so so faithful

Beside You there’s no other God
Beside You there is no other God
Beside You there’s no other God
Beside You there is no other God
